At the end of 2015 I took at trip to Hawaii with my sister’s family for a quick break from work and winter! I’d never been to Hawaii before and it was just as wonderful as I’d always imagined! I packed a darling modest swimsuit, cover-up, and modest dinner outfit for each day and had so much fun wearing them all! This first post is about my adorable modest peplum swimsuit from Beverly Swimwear!
Now for the reveal of this amazing modest swimsuit from Beverly Swimwear! @bevswim is a modest swimwear shop with every piece handmade by Beverly herself! This girl is a total rockstar with some serious sewing skills and an eye for design! There are standard size options with limited ready-to-ship availability and additional options available made-to-order. She has so many adorable and modest designs that are unique and oh so flattering. The coolest thing about this shop is she can even make anything you can dream up! Mix and match her fabrics and her swimsuit styles, or dream up something completely new! THIS is my kinda modest swimsuit shop!
This suit is called is the Poppy Peplum in black and white stripes with Hawaii bottoms! I LOVE this print combo! The stripes on top against the Hawaiin floral print bottoms are just absolutely perfect together and are exactly what I was looking for! Don’t they just look like a vacation! I’ve pinned a lot of modest swimsuits in my lifetime and this one takes the cake! It’s comfortable, flattering, and bright and colorful!
Pros: The thick soft straps on this suit were extremely comfortable on my shoulders and neck! (A definite plus!) I love the placement of the peplum right at my natural waist which is super flattering for my shape. (And I don’t feel like I have to suck in when I’m wearing it!) When you order there here is an option for cup inserts. I opted for no cup inserts, however it is double lined in the chest area so it’s not transparent at all and it’s pulled tight enough it doesn’t look funny or exposing. The vintage bikini bottoms have the most perfect shape, overing all the right places and are extremely comfortable. They come up to just above my belly button and line up perfectly with where the peplum begins on the top, so even when playing in the water, your belly stays mostly covered even when the peplum flutters. I also love this particular print combo with the stripes on the top and the Hawaiian floral on the bottom (available here on beverlyswimear.com.)
Cons: The neckline was in a perfect place, not too high and not too low for me, but it does buckle if I’m not standing straight up which gives you a bit of cleavage when bending down or playing in the water.
I wore this suit multiple times on my trip because I loved it so much! Now every time I wear it I’ll think of this beautiful place!
